Favorite 5 Web Design Tools
Tuesday, November 10th, 2009 | Author: Mike
I have written a couple of articles describing different tools and I enjoy using and I like to include all of the free tools you can use. Well here are my 5 favorite web design tools that are absolutly free to use.
- Bluefish Web Development Studio
- This program is great for all round web site programming with HTML, PHP or ASP. What I really enjoy about this program is that it will color your code for you helping you find quotation mistakes easily. This program is create for Linux OS
- Notepad
- I don’t use this as much as Bluefish but I like Notepad for the fact that there is no overhead and it makes it very easy to edit HTML, PHP, ASP, CSS and pretty much and other file you might want to modify for web design.
- GIMP
- GIMP is another open source application for Linux that is used for image manipulation and it is probably one of the better open source programs out there for creating and modifying images
- WS_FTP LE
- WS_FTP LE or Lite is a free program from IPSwitch that allows you to connect to an FTP server and upload your website, images and anything else you may want to place on your web site.
- MS Paint
- One of the more basic and less featured programs that I use in most web pages I do. MS Paint has some good color features and with the use of Calc it is very easy to convert decimal color codes to HEX color codes used in HTML.
These are my favorite 5 tools used for web design and as I use different tools I know this list will change. What are your favorite tools? Let us know.
